Rebuild connection. Rediscover friendship. Grow together.
Every relationship goes through seasons. Maybe you're stuck in the same arguments, feeling more like roommates than partners, or working to rebuild trust after a hurt. Maybe you're preparing for marriage and want to start strong. Wherever you are, it's not too late — and you don't have to figure it out alone.
In couples counselling, your relationship is the client. My role isn't to take sides, but to help you both feel heard and find a way forward together.
What we can work on together
Communication breakdowns and recurring conflict
Rebuilding trust after betrayal or affairs
Emotional distance and loss of intimacy
Parenting and blended-family stress
Life transitions: new baby, career change, empty nest
Cultural, faith or family-of-origin differences
Premarital counselling and preparing for marriage
Discernment when you're unsure about the future of the relationship
My approach
I use the Gottman Method — one of the most researched approaches to couples therapy — in a way that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive and strength-focused. I'm also a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator for premarital and marriage enrichment work.
Most couples begin with an assessment that helps us see your relationship's strengths and growth areas clearly. From there we focus on:
Managing conflict so disagreements stop escalating
Healing hurts from the past
Building friendship, fun and intimacy again
Creating shared meaning — your values, rituals and goals as a couple
Most sessions include both partners, with a few individual sessions when helpful to understand each person's story.
