Care for those who care for others.
Pastors and ministry leaders carry a unique weight. You're expected to be available, steady and spiritually strong — often while your own tank is running on empty. It can be hard to find somewhere you can simply be a person, not the pastor.
I understand this world from the inside. I'm a licensed minister with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, with 20 years of pastoral experience in churches across Ontario and British Columbia. I'm also a Canadian Certified Counsellor. That combination means you won't need to explain church culture to me — and you'll get professional, evidence-based care, not just a pep talk.
What we can work on together
Burnout, compassion fatigue and exhaustion
Anxiety, depression and stress
Church conflict, criticism and leadership pressure
Church hurt and ministry disappointment
Questions of calling, vocation and transition — including leaving ministry
Loneliness and isolation in leadership
Marriage and family strain from ministry life
Spiritual dryness and questions of faith
Personality and leadership development (including Enneagram)
Confidential by design
Your sessions are completely confidential — nothing is shared with your church, board or denomination (within the standard legal and ethical limits I'll explain at our first session). Virtual sessions are available so you can meet with me from anywhere in BC, away from your community.
My approach
I bring a strength-focused, trauma-informed approach that integrates clinical practice with an understanding of faith. We can include your spiritual life in our work as much or as little as you'd like. My training includes a Master of Theological Studies (Tyndale Seminary) and a Master's in Clinical Psychotherapy (Yorkville University).
Also for ministry families and teams
Counselling is available for pastors' spouses, ministry couples, and pastor's kids (12+). I also offer workshops for church staff and leadership teams on topics like burnout prevention, Enneagram and team health, and leadership development.
